| BAND MEMBER SCOUTING PAGE Welcome to the musician scouting page for the future band Huracane. This proposed band will be a 5- or 6-member acoustic group, with their sound and instrumentation based mostly in modern Bluegrass ("newgrass"), strongly influenced by Alison Krauss & Union Station's circa 2002's "New Favorite" album, Dolly Parton's "Little Sparrow" and "The Grass Is Blue" albums, most of Rhonda Vincent's recordings, and music from the groups Blue Highway and Mountain Heart; but also with sound and style influences from some notable rock bands such as U2, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Foreigner, and Aerosmith. We're not sure if the critics will call us a bluegrass band, or an americana band or "country". We'll just have to develop our sound and see!! We are looking for musicians that fit into certain parameters, as we are looking to create a certain unique appearance and sound. We expect to begin putting the band together and getting together for our first rehearsals, sometime during the spring of 2012.
